Product description
The Spira® Stinger XLT with patented WaveSpring® technology is a high performance trainer and is an ideal race day shoe for the majority of runners who need the support of a training shoe, with the lightweight responsive qualities of a racing flat. The Stinger XLT shares many of the same characteristics as the Stinger Racing Flat. It is an extremely well cushioned shoe that maximizes racing performance and reduces fatigue. The two independent forefoot and one heel WaveSpring® are low profile, lightweight springs made of stainless steel to maximize cushioning and resiliency.

For runners with a neutral to moderate gait and who are looking for a lightweight performance trainer that provides superior shock protection on impact combined with the responsiveness of a long distance racing shoe.
Technology
WaveSpring® cushioning system – two springs in the forefoot and one spring in the heel provides maximum energy efficiency in conjunction with a high level of cushioning that is very responsive for racing. The WaveSpring® is a low profile, lightweight spring made of stainless steel.

Upper materials
An open air mesh vamp provides maximum breathability, comfort and fit. The midfoot is supported by molded support straps that are tied into the lacing system. This improves support and resists stretching without interfering with the breathable properties and comfort provided by the mesh vamp.
Sockliner
Removable, molded EVA foot bed.
Midsole
Two piece pod construction using compression molded EVA incorporating a single lightweight WaveSpring® in the heel and dual lightweight WaveSprings in the forefoot. The pods are connected together with a fiberglass reinforced nylon shank for midfoot stability.
Outsole
A high abrasion heel strike pad helps to increase durability. The grooved forefoot provides transition flexibility.
